Pastor and Superintendent- Fr. Mark Moriarty
Father Moriarty has served as the pastor and superintendent of Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic School since July 2003.
Prior to coming to MQP, he attended Thomas Aquinas College planning to be a doctor like his father. After graduating from college in 1995, he went directly to the seminary in his native Archdiocese of St. Paul-Minneapolis and was ordained a priest May, 1999. It can be said that Father Moriarty achieved his goal as he is now a doctor of souls. "The idea of being a parish priest - a jack-of-all trades - was something that seemed to fit my character and abilities. What a challenge it would be, I thought, to be a teacher, a leader, and a priest for God's people," he said.
Father Moriarty believes that the Catholic school stands as the very heart and soul of the parish community. His love for the Lord and the community serves as a beacon of faith and inspiration to us all.
